Preparing for Birth with HypnoBirthing Educator and Birth Worker Kayla Eisener

Birth is one of the most profound and transformative experiences women have – yet it’s often surrounded by fear and uncertainty. The key to shifting that narrative lies in being truly prepared, and preparation goes far beyond the physical. It’s about mental, emotional, and spiritual readiness too.

In this episode, I sit down with birth worker and hypnobirthing educator Kayla Eisener to explore what it really means to prepare for birth. We discuss powerful tools for birthing confidently, and we unpack the lasting impact unresolved birth trauma can have on both mothers and babies – along with pathways toward healing.

Ready to embrace birth as the empowering, life changing journey it’s meant to be? And, if you are past birthing babies, listen in to this conversation for we discuss how we can heal from births that weren’t what we wanted them to be.

Kayla and I talk about:

  • Why traditional birth prep often falls short
  • How trauma is stored in the body and passed down through generations
  • Tools for mental and emotional preparation: breathing, visualization, hypnobirthing, and more
  • The critical role of birth companions in creating a safe space during labor
  • The intersection of ancient wisdom and modern support in birth work
